Chandigarh may be famous for many but it is one thing that needs to mention here is the “Beat Box”. Every police station will have at least one ‘Beat Box’ or near by. I once asked a person. When I asked him why police have beat box? He said if the small traders, dhabas, petty shops etc are finds not holding of license to trade or to put small shop over there he will be put in the Beat Box!

The rationale behind true rule of law in these two cases remains same.
